A Culinary Tour of Sydney

With Sydney having so many amazing little restaurants it's been a difficult task to whittle this list down to my top favourite places to eat considering you could eat at a different restaurant every single day.  Here is the perfect quick stop tour of the best Sydney has to offer ...

Breakfast at Bondi Wholefoods, Bondi

Hands down my favourite meal of the day is breakfast.  There I said it!  My perfect weekend activity is to find a little cafe and have a long lazy brekkie.  There is no better place for this than Bondi Wholefoods. I discovered Bondi Wholefoods on Instagram whilst I was still at home in Guernsey.  I have no idea how I found them but their pictures drew me in and my mouth was watering.  As soon as we touched down in Oz, it was the first port of call!  It did not disappoint. The cafe is located up some unassuming back streets of Bondi where your average passer by would not notice it but it packs a punch so big there is unfortunately always a queue.  Not to worry, they have their very own health food shop to mooch in around whilst you wait (and when we did wait too long they gave us free coffee!).  Their food is not only delicious but beautifully presented, uber healthy and all organic.  Win, win, win!  Think protein smoothies, acai bowls and coconut pancakes.  When you are full up with organic goods you can take a stroll down to infamous Bondi Beach!

Lunch at The Potting Shed, Alexandria

Another mouth-watering Instagram find.  I could drool over their Instagram page for hours.   The Potting Shed is located in a complex called the Grounds of Alexandria in none other than the suburb of Alexandria.  The whole place is just gorgeous with flowers hanging overhead, lemonade stands and even their own petting zoo!   Shared plates for 2, steak or burgers you can't really go wrong.  I had the most divine steak and chips washed down with freshly made lemonade.  After which, you can lose hours perusing through the little stands selling nuts, ice crearms, coffee and flowers and of course meeting Fluffy, the resident macaw! 

Dinner at Vapiano, CBD 

For dinner nothing beats a good pizza.  With their made to order pizza bar, Vapiano has the best pizza in Sydney.  And if for some reason you are not into pizza, they also have a made to order pasta bar and they serve up a delectable antipasto board.  Based in York Street in the heart of the CBD, the atmosphere is chilled with an air of sophistication offering a comfortable collaboration of casual and fine dining.

Dessert at Lindt, Darling Habour 

Of course we have to end this culinary tour with dessert at Lindt in Darling Harbour.  Boy do these guys know how to make chocolate.  Whether it's afternoon tea, chocolate brownie or a sundae they are all delicious. Perfect for us, Lindt in Darling Harbour was located opposite our apartment (although my waistline didn't think this was so great).  It was worth it though!
